Who We Are

I’m the woman behind Ancestral Weavings—a space for remembrance, reconnection, and repair. My name is Sarah Anne (aka Naiya), and this work is not just something I offer—it’s the thread I’ve followed for most of my life.

My journey with psychedelic medicines began when I was 15. At the time, I didn’t have elders or frameworks to guide me—just a deep sensitivity to the unseen and a hunger for something more. What began as wild and uncontained eventually became sacred and intentional. Learning the power of ritual transformed what could have been chaotic into meaningful thresholds to walk. That shift toward reverence, toward listening, was my entry point into this path.

I come from Sicilian and Ashkenazi Jewish roots, and I walk this work as a queer woman committed to decolonization—not just as an idea, but as an embodied practice. Reclaiming a relationship with my ancestors has been life-giving. It’s helped me feel less alone, more supported, and more capable of interrupting patterns of harm within myself and in my relationships.

Ancestral Weavings grew from this lived devotion. It weaves together my years in ceremony and integration work with systemic constellations, dreamwork, and somatic inquiry. It’s not a brand—it’s a living prayer. A place where the unseen is honored and the body becomes an altar for transformation.

My path has carried me through early childhood education, across cultures through academic study, and into the firelight of grief rituals, healing circles, and retreat kitchens. I’ve sat at the feet of elders, tended ancestral altars, and companioned people in some of the most liminal moments of their lives. Again and again, I return to this: when we turn toward our roots—toward what’s been carried, silenced, or forgotten—we begin to remember who we truly are.

I bring over 10,000 hours of training through programs, initiations, and ceremonies to this work. I hold a Master of Science in Intercultural Psychology, a BA in Psychology, and a certificate in Transpersonal Psychology, Psychedelic Medicine, and Indigenous Wisdom through the AWE Psychedelic Therapy training. I’m a Certified Advanced Systemic Constellations Facilitator through the International Family Constellations Training Institute, a Certified Sacred Passage Death Doula through the Chacana Spiritual Center, and I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Psychedelic Studies, focused on ancestral dreamwork and ritual healing. In addition to these certifications and academic work, I walk the path of El Camino Rojo (the red road).

Based in Boulder, Colorado. I work with individuals, couples, and groups—online and in person.

Ancestral Weavings is not a licensed clinical therapy practice. While there are almost always therapeutic benefits that might be accessed in our sessions, it is important to note the differences in training and licensure between professions in the Western context. We do not encourage nor condone any illegal activities. This includes the purchase, sale, transfer, or use of any illegal substances, or partaking in any unlawful activities related to illegal substances.
